qEEG & Neurotherapy
General Information
Quantitative Electroencephalography (qEEG) is a non-invasive process that records electrical activity from the scalp using surface sensors. The recorded data is analysed to identify patterns of brainwave activity, which are then presented in graphical or statistical formats.
Neurotherapy (often referred to as neurofeedback) involves structured training sessions designed to provide real-time feedback about brainwave patterns. During a session, individuals engage with computer-based tasks while receiving visual or auditory feedback linked to measured electrical activity.
These services are intended to provide information about brainwave patterns and support self-regulation training. They do not diagnose medical or psychiatric conditions and do not replace assessment or treatment by a medical practitioner, psychologist, or psychiatrist.
Understanding Brainwave Training
Brainwave activity naturally varies between individuals and across different states such as wakefulness, concentration, and relaxation.
Neurotherapy sessions are designed to:
- Provide feedback about measured brainwave activity
- Encourage awareness of cognitive states
- Support voluntary self-regulation practice
Individual responses vary, and no specific outcomes can be predicted or guaranteed.
Important Information
qEEG assessment and neurotherapy:
- Do not diagnose neurological or psychiatric disorders
- Are not a substitute for medical or psychological treatment
- Do not replace medication management
- Should not delay appropriate medical evaluation
Individuals experiencing significant cognitive, emotional, behavioural, or neurological concerns should seek assessment from an appropriately qualified healthcare provider.
Our Approach
At Inspiring Choices, qEEG and neurotherapy are offered as part of a broader, multidisciplinary environment focused on structured assessment and supportive self-regulation training.
Participation is voluntary and intended for general cognitive and wellness support. Outcomes differ between individuals.
