Osteopathy

Osteopathy is a regulated health profession focused on the assessment and management of the musculoskeletal system and its relationship to overall movement and function. Osteopaths are trained to evaluate posture, joint mobility, muscle balance, and biomechanical patterns, and may use hands-on techniques, soft tissue approaches, stretching, mobilisation, and exercise guidance to support coordinated movement and physical function. Osteopathic care aims to assist the body’s natural capacity for adaptation and recovery within the practitioner’s scope of registration. It does not replace medical diagnosis or specialist care, and individuals with ongoing or complex health concerns should consult their general practitioner or relevant healthcare provider.

Cranial Osteopathy

Cranial osteopathy is a gentle manual approach used by some osteopaths to assess subtle patterns of movement within the head, spine, and surrounding tissues. Practitioners use light touch techniques as part of a broader osteopathic assessment to explore how tension, posture, and mobility may relate to overall musculoskeletal balance. The approach is non-invasive and intended to complement general osteopathic care within the practitioner’s professional scope. Cranial osteopathy does not replace medical assessment or treatment, and individuals with medical concerns should seek advice from their doctor.
