Soft Laser Therapy / Photobiomodulation
General Information
Photobiomodulation (PBM), sometimes referred to as low-level laser therapy, involves the application of specific wavelengths of light to the body using externally placed devices. These light wavelengths are delivered at controlled intensities and are absorbed by tissues at a cellular level.
Research has explored how light exposure at certain wavelengths may interact with cellular signalling pathways, mitochondrial activity, and local circulation. In musculoskeletal settings, photobiomodulation may be incorporated as part of a broader approach focused on movement, tissue responsiveness, and functional support.
PBM is non-invasive and typically used alongside manual care, exercise guidance, and rehabilitation strategies. Individual responses vary, and no specific outcomes can be predicted or guaranteed.
Soft Laser therapy is not a substitute for medical diagnosis or treatment. Individuals with significant health concerns, photosensitivity conditions, or implanted medical devices should consult their medical practitioner before participation.
